I have had a love of photography since 7th grade when I got my first camera for Christmas. It was a Kodak Disc! That camera took hundreds of George Strait photos over the years. Thinking back on that camera makes me smile. I have to share a story about it involving the love of a Father. My parents took me to Texarkana for a George concert. They formed a photo line where you could pass in front of the stage and get snapshots. On my first pass through the line the batteries fell out of my camera. I went back to my seat crying-literally. My Dad made the journey to where I had previously been and crawled the floor to find the 3 batteries that I couldn't. Now that is love people. He never has cared much what others thought but you know he got some looks crawling around people's seats!
The birth of two children has sparked my love of the camera again. Of course now I catch the perfect photo with a professional digital camera. My very favorite thing is capturing the activities of my children. I love to catch their spontaneous interaction! Of course, I do get a little annoyed when they won't cooperate for that serious pose that I really need for my living room wall.
My desire is to get better and better doing something I love. My style is simple without a lot of editing. I enjoy natural light and natural scenery for my photos. I also love a wild outfit on my daughter to photograph every now and then.
